Local Authority

Interclass Surfacing Ltd work with local authorities, school and community groups with innovative surfacing and resurfacing solutions.

As an experienced surfacing contractor we are fully aware of the inherited issues a Macadam surface can cause with younger children so we work closely with our approved specialist sub-contractors to offer a play surfacing solutions to meet the client’s requirements.

One of the most popular surface types we offer for recreational areas at schools and nurseries is wet-pour rubber flooring which is installed in a two layered system with a base layer of SBR shock pad and a wearing course of EPDM rubber.

This creates ideal impact absorption for a kids’ play area where they will be running around, playing games and using outdoor equipment.

Made up of a multi-component polyurethane and rubber composite, wet pour is installed onsite by a chemical mixing, wet pouring, leveling, Screeding and rolling process.

Dependent on usage, this playground surface can be expected to last up to 10 years.

Wetpour is a low maintenance rubber surface that is porous when laid onto a porous, free-draining sub-base. There is no need to top up the surfaces as there is with loose fill surfaces such as bark or sand.
