Warwick University

Project Description: This energy efficient, naturally ventilated indoor tennis centre was the first leisure centre in the UK to achieve an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating. The centre was partially funded by the Lawn Tennis Association and Sport England West Midlands and provides four indoor courts for use by students, staff, county tennis players and the general public. Alongside the indoor courts, a reception area, spectator gallery, offices and changing facilities were also created. The building’s dramatic curved volume was designed to be low impact as the site is located in a green belt.

Key Facts: BREEAM Excellent
