Tesco Undercroft

Project Description: This project was to see the regeneration of Cradley Heath and bring hundreds of new jobs to the area. The redevelopment was set to attract new investment to the town and provide local people with a thriving and vibrant modern Commercial Centre.

The Tesco store was to anchor the Shopping Centre. The scheme will also incorporate 500 free parking spaces enabling customers to make linked trips to the rest of the High Street.

Interclass Surfacing Ltd involvement as an approved supply chain member to Bower and Kirkland was initially to create a temporary car park to the rear of the high street approx. 427m2 of base course only.

The main works to the Undercroft Car Park consisted of 60 dense bit course 3925 mwith extra over laying with height restriction and a 30 dense bit wearing course, the main car park required 8004 m2 60 dense bit base course with a tack coat of 7490 m2 . Additional works were also required Access roads and footpaths.
