PDSA Hospital

PDSA Hospital

PDSA Hostpital

Project Description: The proposed Works comprised of a new single storey Pet Hospital, incorporating operating theatres, treatment rooms, reception and administration offices, plus substantial external works

Key elements included

  • Interclass “self-delivery” of ground works and tarmacadam services
  • Steel Frame with micro-rib Kingspan cladding and Kalzip roof
  • Complex M&E services, in line with hospital/clean environment standards
  • High quality, easy clean finishes (ceramics, hygienic wall claddings)
  • Substantial car parks, adoptable road links and drainage connections
  • Liaison with utility services for incoming mains and local authority highways engineers.

With a significant mechanical and electrical input, Interclass instigated a visit with the Client and our supply chain partners to a recently completed PDSA hospital in Cardiff, so we had a complete understanding of the Client’s expectations. This proved invaluable during the design development, installation and commissioning stages.

This particular project was built on a brownfield site, set within an urban, residential area, requiring sensitive management of the extensive groundworks, to minimise disruption to local traffic and pedestrians. Interclass issued regular newsletters to keep residents up to date on progress.
